Welcome to Episode 16 of Lowering The Tone, this time round I have the legendary Evil Nine in conversation, I popped down to Brighton on a windy Sunday afternoon, very hungover, and caught up with Tom & Pat in Tom’s kitchen, we discussed everything from writing such classic tracks as ‘Crooked’ & ‘Restless’, to performing live at festivals, the state of modern folk music, and doing interviews while on edibles.
As always I will attempt to take you on sonic ride through the underground of electronic music & beyond.

Im proud to present Episode 15 of Lowering The Tone; the long form podcast created for the listener who is looking for something a little bit more than just a standard DJ mix.
The word "eccentric" gets thrown around a lot, but I can honestly say my latest guest encapsulated the word perfectly. Wreckage Inc (Alex Wright) is one of the key members of the legendary Mutoid Waste Company. The raucous UK based art collective, who have been creating jaw dropping art installations all over the world, stemming back to the mid 80’s and still going strong today. It’s a change from what I normally do (chatting to DJ’s/Producers). As you will hear Alex loves a tangent… and with an hilarious affect. I found him to be an intelligent and dare I say, inspiring individual with a glorious outlook on life.
Music wise as always you can rely on a journey though the underground smashing through the genres on its way.

Hi all, so here it is, episode 14 of Lowering the Tone… and I’m taking over host duties for my first show, with a mix heading from prog house through to some more pumping techno.
The interview is with Mexican progressive techno maestro Jossie Telch, who is making some serious waves on the international festival circuit with his live shows. We cover a whole range of subjects, from his musical background, to studio inspiration, marmite, guacamole, American politics and mud wrestling.

I’m pleased to deliver Episode 12 of my Lowering The Tone podcast- 2.5 hours of underground music and chat.
This time round, I caught up with one of the most switched on people I know who is also a good friend, Syd Gris. A major player on the west coast of America, he is not just a Dj but a promoter and a key person within Opulent Temple (one of the biggest and most respected sound camps at Burning Man). In this interview he gives us a rare insight into the inner workings and how he has endured 15 years plus, of DJing and throwing parties.

I’m pleased to give you Episode 8 of the Lowering The Tone Podcast, as always expect a broad mix of electronic music & chat.
This time round I had the pleasure of talking with Steve Young AKA Hedflux about his journey into music & the up’s and downs of life in general, it's a long conversation which I decided not to edit down Iv'e just extended the show to fit it all in!
Steve is an interesting and intelligent character that I am sure you will warm to.

I try hard to make these shows honest & representative of my personality and my tastes, I hope by now that is coming through in each show & I genuinely love doing this, but I’m not the greatest at online promotion, in fact I become a bit self conscious about ‘over doing it’ (no one wants to be accused of Spamming), so if you can lend a hand by sharing the link via your social media platforms it would be a massive boost to the awareness…. and I won’t have to look like a dick that just talks about the same thing all the time.

Again I must apologise for the delay in getting this episode out to you, I know it seems to be my 'not so regular podcast’ I can assure you thats not intentional,
Right I’m please to give you Episode 7 of Lowering The Tone this time I managed to catch up an old friend who can best be describes as a giant within the current House music scene- yes the one & only Riva Starr. I discuss everything from working with Fatboy Slim to setting up his own label ‘Snatch' and relocating to London with no money.
